This Sunday, we’re going to be catering at our favourite new bar, Mother Kelly’s. Nestled in an archway on Paradise Row, Bethnal Green, Mother Kelly’s is a bottle shop and tap room with plenty of indoor and outdoor drinking space.

Siren brewery are taking over the taps for the weekend so there’ll be an abundance of mad booze and beer snacks to match. Our initial idea was to make a street food Sunday roast but we’d recently come up with a bunch of bar snacks that suited the tap takeover perfectly. Think of this menu as the most laid back roast you’ve ever had. Braised beef, roast pork, tasty batter and roast root vegetables will all be making an appearance, just as individual accompaniments to a really exciting beer line up.

We’ll be making use of the key parts of the brewery process, using malt as a crust on beef shin and spent malt in the haggis ball mix. There’ll also be something from the Siren selection (we’ll do a tasting on the day) in the cod cheek batter and a little beer spilt in the beans too. Hopefully the sun comes out and we can all enjoy fine beers and bar snacks together on the wonderful terrace of Mother Kelly’s.
