A few weeks ago we went all-in to organise a piss-up in a brewery. Our man Charlie Whatley was on site to capture the evening and the twisted faces caused by strong drink and a gnarly film.
As we catered in the alleyway outside Redchurch Brewery, the MC for the evening Teef got things underway. The film was a fan remake of the 1987 classic Robocop. The movie side of things was handled by Liam Achaibou, of Brain Wash. Liam was also on hand to cater the posters and the night’s menu.
The catering team for the day was the best we could get hold of. We managed to drag Edd away from Essex to bring some calm and professionalism the gazebo. Me and Pel completed the trio and just about catered our way out of various holes.
Inside, the film went down better than we could’ve expected, with plenty of full-belly laughs. We recommend that if you didn’t make it down, you should watch Our Robocop Remake online as it’s available to watch in full, for free, on Vimeo.
Big thanks to everyone who came down and that helped make the thing happen, especially John at Redchurch for being a great facilitator and Bel (& Brisket) and Mike (& Ollie) for lending me loads of stuff. This night gave us the encouragement to make sure we do more things like this in future. Which may, or may not, actually happen. CATERING!
